I think it is really cute but it would probably be one of the special items that you can't break out all the time. Doesn't make it wrong, but it would be a consideration for me.

Hmm Angie, that's a toughie...how to take pics in the dressing room without holding the camera? Unless I rope the fitting room SA into being my photographer or bring a tripod with me. Maybe I can do a whole fashion shoot, hee hee! Well, I'll have to think about that one and get back to you....

Angie, a fascinating perspective re: holding still to see how something falls. I don't feel like anything's "mine" until I know that it moves with me. That's why I instantly liked the sweater cape on her. I have trouble with website/catalog photos in most cases because they're, you know, standing around. I want to see them strut off out of the frame!

I am on the fence and do apologize for being a spanner, Nathalie.

Holding the camera in place to take the photo adjusts the fit of the cape - which is how we are seeing it here. I'd need to see a photo of how it would look with your arms by your sides, which is how it would fall in real life. I hope that makes sense.

I can't decide on the green thing, but I will tell you you have beautiful limbs. If I were you I would rock the skinnies and tunics look (esp. with 3/4 and bracelet sleeves-- even in winter with a thin warm sweater or layering tee under). I think #1 looks absolutely model-y and shows off your figure in a way I haven't seen on you often enough--- still not sure this is "your cape" though!

This is the first cape I've liked on anyone. Color is a personal choice, sometimes one that makes you happy is more important than the perfect shade for you, IMO. So pick the shade that thrills you most.

I'm with Rute, I would like to see something with more structure. The one she posted has a waist defining belt, that is a nice touch. The one your are trying on is kind of swallowing you up. How would you wear it? The shape of it seems like it could get annoying real quick. If it had sleeves it would give you more freedom of movement with the kiddies.

LOVE the shape, length, and volume on you... like Diane, though, I am not sure about the color. Looks like the lighting has thrown off your camera's white balance, so the colors are all warmed up more than normal, so it's hard to get a good read on what this does to your complexion.

Is it a functional cape? From looking at your arms in the photos, it looks like the cape "traps" them more than a cape in coat form would. If you have a good range of motion, then go for it!

I think it depends on your budget. This looks cute to me this season, but I am not sure I would say the same in a year or so. Kind of trendy and I know Anthro is expensive so that would be the only thing holding me back. There are probably better capes out there for you for less $$.

I am a dissenter here. I like the style on you (I am not yet a cape convert) but don't think the warm color is your best choice. I think you would look better in a cool color like a blue or green with a slight blue undertone.

Ohhh, like a big sweater. Gorgeous color and if you like and wear oversize sweaters, then it's great. It's great in my eyes. I kind of think it's a plus that it's not the typical cape that they push unsucsessfully every year. Has a different mood because of the difference in drape vs. crispness. So, back to you.

I don't know about the shape, but the color is Lovely! The "looking good" is dependent of whether you like to wear deconstructed flowy shapes, or you'd feel better with some waist definition/structure

I had to return something at Nordstrom's so I thought it would be fun to pop next door to Anthro. I tried on a moss green cape that the ladies on my mommy board have been raving about. I didn't buy it though, because I wasn't so sure that I look good in a cape. What do you think, are capes for me or do they swallow me up? Any recommendations on styles or colors or other brands? (I think they had other styles in brown plaid, purple, etc).
