Yes, I tend to buy jeans like that as well, but they are often too big in the waist and hip if I size up. And I get the sad bum effect.
I've worn the jeans for 3 days, ~3 hours each day and not only they still feel uncomfortable but they give me lots of wrinkles around the knee and under the bum. I think I might return them.

I bought mine at a local H&M store rather than online. I wanted the burgundy and took many sizes to the fitting room. I'm not sure what the size chart would say, but I always size up in skinny jeans so that they are more of a slim straight on me. This is because of my age not a dislike of tight jeans on others. I hope that your jeans loosen up for you.

Phew, glad to find that they will get more comfortable than this. I've worn them today for 6 hours or so (they started getting soft at one point), took them down and now I put them on again and they feel tight again haha. I suppose I have to deal with this for a few days more. I never take sizes for granted. Sizes are relative to the brand, but it is best to find the exact meaning of that size-- look up a size chart, I mean. Doesn't size 12 in H&M correspond to your measurements? Because for me, if a 34 means a 64cm waist, it means that. I almost never had issues with H&M sizing. That's why I'm buying these jeans in the exact size they recommend. Sometimes I would order a size up because my size was too tight, and find out that the pair stretched to the size number it had on the tag.

I have 2 pair of skinny H&M jeans, at least a year old, that have stretched a little but do not get baggy. They have been washed several times but never put in the dryer. Mine are burgundy and olive, both 3% elastane, about 70% cotton, 27% polyester. They were rather tight at first but have eased up and I am very happy with them.
Have you tried wearing them around the house for a few hours to see how they feel?
ETA: I wear most jeans from a 2 to size 6 and my H&M jeans are size 12! They must be worn with a belt.

This specific pair is just like this one: http://www2.hm.com/ro_ro/produ.....88002.html (the dark blue wash one). I didn't find my size in the department stores so I ordered it online. The next size was slightly large in the hips especially.
I also found a similar composition (19% poly, 2%elasthane-- the rest is cotton) pair of jeans just like this pair, but not bootcut. Instead they are skinny. The fabric feels the same as that pair I ordered online. Stretchy and soft. I liked how they fit in the fitting room but they are a little small around my waist, but soft at the same time. Not uncomfortable, I'd say. But I do hate the idea of wearing tight jeans 100% of my time. I bought them with the hope that they will stretch. I don't have experience with h&m jeans, neither with poly and cotton blends. The 98% cotton 2% elasthane jeans I have have stretched indeed. I was hoping these would as well. What do you think? Do h&m jeans stretch in general?
