Please dear Lord let them still be good! I just had baby #2 (2 months) and I have a toddler (3.5 yrs), both boys, and desperately need the guidance!

I agree. The formulas are still sound, but pieces here and there may need swapping out depending on how fashion forward you want to be. For example, there will always be lots of love for tall boots, but this Fall, many of us have added ankle boots into the rotation to keep the look fresh. Or, with the cardigans, I suspect that we won't see a lot of rounded cardigans. I think that look has shifted more toward boyfriend and maybe even slightly shrunken cardigans. And I'm passing along all but my favorite waterfall cardigan because the look doesn't feel as fresh to me because I've been wearing them the past few seasons.

Maybe if we're really lucky, Angie will publish an update for us! I'd love some fresh ideas for my mom on the go outfits.

Great question! I think the core idea of the formulas still work as others have suggested. Of course the details of the outfits will change over time (for instance, I don't think a blazer + printed t is as popular as it was say two years ago although it's not a look that is so out of fashion one cannot still wear it.).

Ann, I was also thinking about this.
I agree that the silhouettes are still god because the balance between porportions in the MOTG formulas are optimal and will work until denim gets out of fashion(which I hope it never happens)
I guess the shoes are what varies most, some years they are more feminine, some years more masculine and so on.
The basic formulas can always be kept current with the details of the season.
This being said, sometimes it is not easy to find this details, at least for me.

Hi, Ann - they are timeless in the sense that the basic formula is the same: e.g. skinnies plus top plus bootie plus (you get the idea...it all = FAB!) But for sure, individual items or the silhouettes might change.

I don't think tunics are out of style. In fact, oversize tops (of some kinds) are trending. But the shapes and colours/ patterns might be different. To see someone who wears oversize tops well, check CocoLion's posts. To see someone who looks fantastic in a tunic, check Alaskagirl's posts.

But first check your own body type and try to figure out if it's the best for a tunic shape (or whatever type of top you're considering.)

On the advice of others here, I have madly been reading the Mom on the Go formulas, especially these, which are for autumn: http://youlookfab.com/2009/10/.....on-the-go/.

Since the original post is from 2009, I'm wondering if any of them should be slightly updated, or if they are all timeless. For instance, #4 calls for a tunic. Are tunics still in fashion? Are there updated silhouettes? I am so clueless, thanks for any help.
