Mine stretch just a little, I would agree on the snug but not uncomfortable, you have to be able to breathe! I wash all my jeans just as Jenava suggested, and once completely dry just throw in the dryer with a few other things for about 5 minutes to soften up just a little.

All this talk of jeans stretching makes me think maybe we should get back to jeans with no elastane or lycra content. That's the only way they came when I was a kid. I have a few pair that are 100% cotton and don't stretch more than 1/4 inch no matter how many wears before washing. Of course, that impacts the comfort level some. It's a trade off.

I've come to realize that most jeans (esp. premium denim) tends to stretch out a bit after a few wears. 7FAMK is no exception. I used to buy all my jeans in a 31 until I realized that all my jeans were "growing" a bit! I but 29s now, and they're perfect!

And Jenava's laundering instructions are perfect! This is how my Mother washed my jeans as a kid, and I've never strayed from this method

I'd second what Jenava says. Any pair of jeans that I wear more than say... twice a year stretches out without fail. I can't give you any specific advice on 7FAMK, as I've never tried on nor owned a pair, but what I would recommend is going for a size that feels a little bit tight-- not really uncomfortable, but snug, as Jenava said. Then when they stretch, they'll be ok. I bought a pair of skinny jeans once and sized up to where I thought the size was perfect for my thighs and now I can stick about 3 hands (if I had 3 hands) down my pants and don't even have to unbutton or unzip them to get them off!

Another thing to think about is the spandex content; now I don't really know anything about fabric but I would think this might play a role.

OK, so first off, make sure you don't put your jeans in the dryer. Wash them inside out, zipped and buttoned, and then hang them to dry. That alone will help keep them from over-stretching. Also, don't wash them more than necessary.

That said, denim does "grow", I think. Now, 7FAMK jeans do not fit my frame (the thigh is too tight, and if I size up the waist is so big it actually can't be altered down enough to fit!), but several years ago I tried desperately to make a few pair work because they were so trendy. Back then, I recall that if I bought them very snug, then after a day or two of wear they'd be good and would stay that way. So I'd advice sizing down.

I posted a couple of weeks ago about my big shopping trip to Orlando, and it was great! I bought lots of cute things. While I was there, I tried on a pair of 7 for all Mankind jeans at the Nordstrom Rack. The fit really great (except needed to be hemmed), but I didn't buy them because I don't want another pair of jeans that will stretch out as I wear them or after I wash them. I have a pair of DKNY skinny jeans that stretch awfully around the derriere and upper thigh and I end up having to yank them up all day.

I'm actually heading back to Orlando on Monday for DH's work, so I thought I'd find out more about their quality and fit before I go back and potentially pick them up then.

Can you please share you experiences?
