The old "made in England" Docs were very hard to break in. When they moved production, they also redsigned the boot to break in more easily. I don't have any personal experience with the newer design. So, I can't say if this is true or not.</p> <p>The pair you chose great looking. I like them.</p> <p>A fun factoid. Docs were originally from Germany and the vast majority were sold to housewives. I am thinking that the leather will ease and become super flexible and comfortable. I got the nubuck because I thought these would be sightly less hard edged than other finishes.&nbsp;</p>
