Not nearly as versatile.</p> <p>Suz, good luck with the search. This top was outside of my comfort zone in terms of shape - lots of volume. But the cotton, colour and pattern sold me.</p> <p>Thanks Emily, it took a bit of trial and error for me with second base. It has a dignified yet fun feel: large-scale floral on black background. Long, gathered sleeves, round neckline, small peplum at the waistline, loose-fitting. Summer is even more casual for me than normal as I'm on vacation July and August. Last year I had rotten luck with tees - all those annoying pin holes at the waist. I've changed retailers and I'm being more careful with laundering (lingerie bags) in the hopes I'll get more than one season out of them. I thought I was done shopping for tops and then I saw this blog post and promptly went out and bought this top ...</p> <p>Now I want to wear it with everything - shorts, skort, slim ankle pants. It's definitely too low to wear alone. A cami is perfect for cooler days. But I needed it to work for very hot weather too - the second base demi cami I have works perfectly. This top is opaque enough in the dark blue. I love the colour and print - seems to go with almost everything in my summer closet. It's an easy breezy alternative to a tee and elevates a casual outfit. Now I want more tops like this ;)</p> <p>Below is what I wore to the zoo yesterday. </p>
