I had a lot of luck with Blondo Zana's, very slim and flattering.
I realize they are not the cheapest option on the block, but I've had mine for 3 winters so far and they've held on. Very practical for those muggy rainy sloshy days.

Thanks Gigi I have some Via Spiga boots that fit well and some Clarks that work as they have buckles. I think that you are right I'm going to have to spend more money and perhaps have a pair made.

I think that the LC Polly will be too big for your calf also, judging by the measurements on the Nordstrom site. :(

You can search for narrow-calf boots on the Nordstrom site, under "Calf Width."

It is tough! I have a 12" calf and have pretty much given up. I will probably have to have a custom pair made, but I haven't found any boot designs that I like. I have a pair of Cole Haans and a pair of Aquatalias. The Aquatalias are a little too high in the shaft for me, which makes the calf look too big. As Joy mentioned, if the shaft is too high, the boots won't fit properly at the top.

You had mentioned the LC Pollys being over $500. IMO, if you find that you are very hard to fit, $500 is not too much to pay for a good pair of boots, because you will wear them lots and lots.

There are another pair of La Canadienne (Polly) that I like but not in the sale and are over $500 :(
Returning the others today. I thought about keeping but realized that I would be settling and I need to stop doing that.

I bought these last year for my 13 inch calves and they fit extremely well. Keep on trying the brand.

I have the same problem Joy has. I need a 14 or 15 inch height and a 13.5 inch width. It's not easy to find. Fitting tall boots is one of my biggest frustrations. I do own a few pair -- La Canadienne and Aquatalia from last year. I would try some different La Canadiennes. The styles do vary.

Gail I feel your pain and have the same problem. Last year at NAS I got lucky with a similar style aquatalia boot...I also have ECCOs with strap and buckle at the top and ankle that I have had extra holes added, so they can be tightened to fit both at the ankle and calf. Strangely they may be advertised for wide calves.
You may be short from ankle to knee so that knee high boots do not hit your leg at the right spot to fit. A shoe SA explained that that is part of my problem. I need a 14-15 inch high shaft, not 16 inches as most are.

Gail, I KNOW. The Aquatalias were not nearly as slim in the calf as they usually are.

The La Canadiennes were slimmer. Still too wide? What a shame.

I ordered two pairs of boots see finds below. I had high hopes that at least one pair would fit. Both pairs were too large around my ankles and also in the top of the leg. I have a lot of trouble with boots . Not sure what to try next. On a happier note the Kut from the Kloth plaid pants fit me perfectly and are keepers !
