We live in a timberframe house, and I love color, so every wall has either rough wood or color, or both, running through it -- so hard to take photos. I am on the fence about neutral vs. red lip; I must confess to adoring both looks equally. <br />For $2, you totally scored, Meredith.</p> <p> </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/dipping-my-little-toe-into-the-acid-wash-jean-pool#post-1298968 Wed, 09 Jul 2014 21:03:32 +0000 Meredith 1298968@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>After Angie’s post about acid wash denim I decided to&nbsp;visit my local thrift store in search of a vintage jacket.&nbsp; No luck with the jackets, so I decided to&nbsp;browse the massive rack of jeans.&nbsp; I didn’t&nbsp;find anything quite as dramatic as Angie’s examples.&nbsp; I don't think the pair I found is technically acid wash, it's&nbsp;more striated and distressed. &nbsp;Even so,&nbsp;there is definitely subtle mottling throughout, particularly&nbsp;at the waist.&nbsp; Besides, they are on-trend<br /> flares, fit great, and were $2.&nbsp;</p> <p>First, I paired the jeans with a simple black tank.&nbsp; I think the&nbsp;look is meh.&nbsp; Next I tried a sheer&nbsp;back tee with floral appliqué.&nbsp; Even&nbsp;though the look is still graphic, the top adds some softness.&nbsp; I tried adding leopard print shoes (I know it's hard to see them) and black pointy pumps. &nbsp;I also added a&nbsp;red lippie, but I think it distracts&nbsp;from the softness I found so appealing. &nbsp;Overall, my favorite is the floral tee, pointy pumps, and neutral lip. &nbsp;Which do you like? &nbsp;Other ideas for styling?</p> <p>P.S. I really wished my camera skills were such that I could accurately capture the pattern and texture of these pieces. &nbsp;Let me give a thunderous round of applause to all of you who have mastered the full-length selfie.
