My boyfriend turned himself into an amazing gourmet chef by working his way through their cookbooks. He's in town from Chicago and hadn't been there. We ate at the Sutro rather than the &nbsp;Bistro. Food was great, much better than we remembered from the last time we ate there a couple of years ago. Service fantastic too and we got a window seat, sunshine and sunset for our guest.&nbsp;</p> <p>He said he'd eaten at a fabulous vegan place--Greene's--so there is another recommendation. I don't remember ever having a less than great meal in SF.</p> <p>Here we are last night at Pt. Lobos, just uphill from the Cliff House.</p> <p>Downhill from where we stood--ruins of old Sutro Baths.</p> <p>Sunset through our dining window.
