That's great, Lanie. It's a slog at first - but impressed you started! And it's SOOOO easy to maintain once you've done the legwork.

Thank you Angie! I started adding things last week, it was fun. :) I'll need to take a lot of photos myself, but once I have a bunch in there, I can really see the Finds section being a helpful tool.

Hi, Lanie! Lovely that you posted, and a warm welcome :)

Another poster started the same topic yesterday:

https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....esentation

Here is my wardrobe in YLF FINDS, which I keep meticulously updated with what is new, and what is passed on. The most recent purchases come through on top. These items are in WARDROBE, because they are my wardrobe :)

https://youlookfab.com/finds/w.....mber=angie

When items are passed on, they go into HISTORY.

When I collect items, they go into CONSIDERING.

I do not include wardrobe basics in my wardrobe, which are: undies, socks, hosiery, loungewear, and yoga wear. I do include wardrobe essentials, jewellery, eyewear, and accessories, You can look at items per category, retailer, and brand. And make collections until the cows come home.

You need a visual representation of the item in order to create the FIND. That you can do by collecting the item from the retailer, like here in pics #1, 2 and 3. Click on the FIND for info about it.

If you can't collect the FIND, you can create a CUSTOM FIND. I try to find a professional photo on the internet of the exact item first, and use that as a visual. Like in pics #3, 4 and 5. Click on the FIND for info about it.

If I can't collect the item, and can't find a pic on the internet of the item either, I take my own pics in good light with a neutral background. I take a neat and tidy photo and adjust the colours so they are accurate. I use my phone to do this, and with the CUSTOM FIND feature. Pics 7 to 18 are pics that I took of my items.

It's a time investment at first, but sooooo worth it. Hopefully this gets you started!

@ Lanie - see this thread: https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....esentation

The Finds feature is pretty straightforward.

Hello everyone! I think this is my first post to the Forum, happy to be here.

My question stems from the August 3, 2022 post titled "How to Manage an Overly Large Wardrobe." In it, Angie mentioned that she has set up a “digital wardrobe representation”. I am very drawn to this idea -- for me, things are "out of sight, out of mind", and I definitely forget what I have when I'm shopping, which has lead to a wardrobe that's a lot less unified than I'd like.

I wonder though, if setting up a DWR takes a lot of tech. skills (does Greg do tech. coaching, lol). I'd love to hear how other people have set up a DWR, or perhaps other visual representation ideas.

Thanks!

Lanie
