It works like a charm and stretches out wrinkles so you don't have to iron. If they have lycra, they may even stretch too much. I don't think you'll have to do it after every washing. I do this to keep from ironing and to get my petite pants to PPL. So, I confess, I tossed them in the dryer on the "jeans" setting (don't scold me). I had never tried it before but I was too excited to wait for a tailor to hem them a measly 1/2", and getting them to do the cute blue and red contrast stitching would have probably cost extra and taken more time.
