Great suggestions here - a lighter tee and more solid/substantial footwear to bookend the heaviness of the jacket should do the trick. Please post the revision!

I like the suggestion for a light top but otherwise I think it works well! You have the shoulders to wear bf blazers. It hangs nicely from square shoulders. On me it just looks like the blazer ate me because I'm short waisted, curvy, and have sloping shoulders. I'm hoping the Anthro one with the more angular, draping front will work better for me. (I couldn't find it in my store today though. I tried a similar shorter one but it fit weirdly and would be too short for this look.)

I was thinking of a lighter tee as well - I like Suz's suggestion of the new Pettys!

I think it's a bit different in shape than the jacket Diana posted but could still work. I saw this one and loved the shape of it, similar to Diana's but different fabric.

I think a light tee would be great. Can you roll the BFs a little more, just to play with the proportions a bit, since your blazer is shorter than the inspiration pic?

Hmmm. I would like it better with a bit of a heel, and I know you can't go there now. But it might work simply with some bookending black boots. Or even the new emerald booties. To me these shoes look a bit lightweight for it. Though maybe not if you also wore a lighter top.

made me think about the black Halogen BF blazer that has been hanging in my closet. I wore it several times when I first got it but haven't pulled it out since. I never thought of trying it with BF jeans--since it's kind of that volume of volume look that I generally try to avoid. Can I revive the old blazer with BF jeans? I think the Anthro version looks better but that jacket isn't in my closet I'd love you opinion. TIA!

P.S. Those shoes are just for show--can't wear them yet.
