It's around 67F here at the moment. There are some clouds in the sky, and there is a chance of rain later on this evening. We only get around 2 weeks of weather over 75F every year.</p> <p>It is warm enough to wear a summer dress without thinking that you may die from hypothermia but if you want to wear a moto jacket and skinny jeans, you probably won't overheat. In fact, I am finding that my moto jacket is the most versatile item in my wardrobe in this weather as it looks summery and is waterproof. In the morning it could be as low as 50, and as high as 80 by afternoon. Pouring one minute and sunny the next. A tee with a vest and walking shorts is unbearable. Skirts and dresses are the only things that work at all and I don't have many of those.</p> <p>hang in there. But then again, there are clouds, lots and lots of clouds, the kind that hang low in the sky, like a big down comforter over your head. (but it protects us from the extreme heat or cold). More than the rain, it's that that gets to me once in a while. It can be incredibly monotonous weather, but it is comfortable.</p> <p>I remember those Northeast summers. In the city it's harder too. Everything radiates that heat and it's sticky, just sticky, all the time. I remember putting t shirts in the freezer and then laying them on top of me while lying in front of a fan. Plus everyone gets so cranky. It's a marathon for sure. </p> <p>What I did love about living in the NE is that the summer DOES makes you crave for Fall to come (that and thunderstorms! They are RARE here). And it's such a beautiful Autumn there. It's that crispy air and the turning leaves, especially those Maples. It's just the best. The NW doesn't even come close. I appreciate living in a area with four distinct seasons (each has its high points - the Country Club in Summer, football in Fall, skiing in Winter, and the rebirth of Spring is so beautiful) but I have had to live in the AC for 2&amp;1/2 months and I am ready for the cool, crisp days of Autumn. Plus, I love boots! I can wear them from the end of September to the end of April. Boots make cold weather worthwhile! </p>
