Sometimes for FaceTime. Occasionally when doing a broad clothing search and want to go through a category as fast as possible by seeing the most items at once. Occasionally for surfing. DH uses the desktop for everything but a phone.</p> <p>I prefer my iPad for most everything else. Although depending on what has charge I will use my phone.</p> <p>Phone for calls and photos. No iPad, and I haven't had a desk top in nearly a decade, maybe more. Both are used almost all the time, depending on where I am, and whether I want a larger screen and how much I'm typing. For many, many years I relied on a desktop/tower (Mac Pro and all the predecessors, going back to my first Mac purchase in 1990ish, when I was in grad school for graphic design). But now I can do everything I need to do on a Mac Book Pro and an attached large screen monitor. We'd been married about 6 months when, in the week he had between semesters (his last year undergrad) he spent most of his time with the mainframes in the basement of the business building at USC learning how to program whatever ancient computer language it was back then. This was January 1964. I remember the day in the early '90s he told me about this wonderful new thing: the Internet.&nbsp;</p> <p>Enough ancient history. How much time you spend on your phone?<br />I don't have other computers but my IPad. I do everything on that thing and often carry it with me around the house, also I travel with it. I switched probably more than 10 years ago. I don't use my phone at home and not much outside. I never check social media on my phone. My DH uses mostly his IPad at home and uses his phone as well and carries it with him at all times. We have one desktop PC for my DH photography. Last time I was using it probably in 2015! I have a notebook at work.<br />What about you? </p>
