The others beat me to fabulous descriptions. This is tricky...having seen you in real life, I would say this top would definitely suit you and work with crops...but I'm not sure the colours would work as cohesively in your wardrobe as you might like. So, yes -- a similar one in another colourway would be perfect.

Hi, Michelle! I like this blouse & descriptions are indeed fab just wanted to point out that the model is wearing it to some white pants and it makes a high contrast outfit top to bottom but I like it-so actually think can potentially match each of your crops you have.
Otherwise, I would not really agonize too much about a top's special length to pair with wide crops. I would keep the most easy and very familiar (to me at least) length to the hips for feeling covered and great the same time. This blouse looks great for that.

Thank you ladies. These are great descriptions and extremely helpful!! I'm reconsidering this top in light of the heavy presence of brown, which I don't feel confident enough mixing with my existing wardrobe. You know me - unless I can form an adequate mental picture, I tend to shy away. I'd also ideally prefer a top that I could wear with either set of crops, and this sounds like it would only truly work with the blues. If anyone spots a viable option in plus sizes, do let me know!
Still in awe at your verbal prowess, all of you. Thank you so much.

Others have described the top well. It is definitely not done with pastel colors. I see predominately a very dark brown that looks nearly black, a midtone aqua and brightened by some white or cream. There is also a dark color that looks like a dark navy. It should look fine with dark blue and maybe the black and white for pattern mixing.. I do not see the lace insets mentioned in the description, unless they are very small. The top is not overly voluminous and will not fit snugly. It will skim over the midsection. The hem is rounded and a bit longer in front and back, shorter at the sides.. I think it would work well with wide crops. Angie must think so or she would not have recommended it to you. The neckline is similar to others I have seen you wear. Scooped and lnot high but still modest. The fabric does not look stiff or stand away from the body.

Hi Michelle. This looks like it would be a good summer boho top for someone who likes some contrast without being clashy.

The pattern makes me think of paisley but isn't. It consists of a circular motif (possibly a mandala?) in teal on a flocked background that looks black and white at a distance but up close looks like burgundy. Not sure what sort of print your black and white pants are, but you'd be talking pretty bold pattern mixing if you wore them together.

The neckline is slightly wide and shallow, stopping just below the collar bone, with a tiny keyhole. Attention is drawn away from the neckline by an interesting design of piping that creates a sort of yoke effect. The piping is also applied a bit above the elbow length sleeves. Up close it appears to be a tiny zigzag so I think it's rickrack. I can't tell if it's black or burgundy.

The hem is too long to call cropped. On the model it just reaches the crotch point at the centre. Then it gently scoops upward at the sides.

I think it would work well with your crops though. As someone tending to apple, I don't like tops that stop just above my tummy and draw attention to it. I prefer something this length that skims past and stops to show my thighs, which are relatively thinner. Unless your crops are super wide and baggy, I think the proportion works well (although my opinion may differ from the received wisdom on this matter).

Although the color is called pastel multi, on my screen it looks brown and teal. There is a small, busy brown pattern in the background and patterned circles of teal over that. The overall effect is busy but muted rather than super loud. The neckline is round, below the collar bone but not low or revealing beyond that. The hem is curved and the lowest point is just above the crotch point. The comments mention it runs large. I will leave the proper length to Angie and others.

Hope that helps!

The overall vibe of this shirt is bohemian. The print is reminiscent of circular cathedral windows arranged with edges nearly touching as a mosaic. It is an overall design, not spotty, and has a hand-drawn quality. The circles are about hand or palm sized. The predominant colors are aqua, chocolate brown, and cream with accents of berry red and yellow throughout. The line work in the design is brown, with aqua and cream being next most predominant. Overall, the shirt is a medium value. The neckline is circular, but wide as a peasant blouse with a small keyhole in the front with a self tie. There is a decorative yoke that is edged with brown colored gimp or braid or decorative stitching. The sleeves are wide and straight and end just below the crease of the elbow. The same decorative stitching edges the hem of the sleeve. The bottom hem looks slightly rounded and hits the model at the point of the hip then dipping to about the crotch point.

I think you are spot-on with your assessment of shirt length to go with wide pants.

Hi ladies! It's been awhile since I've done this, but I would like to tap into your collective descriptive powers for this top. Angie was kind enough to suggest a few potential blouses to go with my slowly expanding collection of wide-legged cropped pants. So far I own two, a black and white pair and the same style in solid dark blue. The blouse below soundded very pretty, but the description is a little too vague to be truly helpful. Could you please kindly describe the print, colours and neckline? And maybe the hem too?
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ev.....dinating-4

Also, an accompanying technical question. How cropped should a blouse really be to work with wide-legged crops? If a top falls past the waistband but still stops somewhere on or above the hips, is that adequate or too long? Thanks for your help!
