The girls have done a wonderful job describing things to you, so I won't add to that...but I just have to say, I somehow missed that sheath dress earlier, but now I have major lust for it. I don't think its too bold for you at all, especially thinking about how you carried off that bold polka dot dress with such sass :)

*wanders off to see if they have it in regular sizes too*

Definitely get that zebra print Sweet Pea top, Michelle, it's beautiful!
The dress is nice too, the print and colours are a bit different than what we've seen from you before, but I agree with Rosie about it not being overly bold at all. I'm personally not the biggest fan of paisley prints, but the cut and style could definitely work for you.

Michelle, I know you asked whether the dress would be too bold for you. Although it has lots of colors the overall effect is almost muted and blended. I don't think it would be too bold.

I think MNsara and i found the same top. It's this one on sale for $43:
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....uct-_-Auto
I couldn't find one with spicy colors either. There is a fushia floral on black with a black tie at an empire waist; V neck, full length sleeves:
http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....uct-_-Auto

Michelle, I think the 'spicy' top link is broken because it must be sold-out? I looked at all the Sweet pea tops on sale and did not recognize it - it was sort of fall colored.

I have a link here to another half-price Sweet Pea top that I can see you wearing. This one is done in shades of dark pink, rose and a greyed purple. Here is its description:
A surplice neck and twisted band at the waist add flattering details to a double-layer mesh top. V-neck.
Single-layer, three-quarter-length sleeves.
Approx. length from shoulder: 30".
Nylon; hand wash.
By Sweet Pea by Stacy Frati.

I think it is a flattering type bodice on many people. Maybe you can ask Angie if she has seen this one in person and what about it on you

Michelle, Khris did a good job of describing these items. I could easily see you in the dress except that the front keyhole cutout may be too low for work. It may show the bra, cleavage for sure. Being small busted, however, I'm not the best judge of these things. It doesn't look like it is a style designed to be worn with a cami. Most of the color is on the top and bottom with the center part around the waist more plain black. The result is to slenderize the midsection a bit. The dress is fuller than a sheath. The model is shown wearing brown strappy sandals with it.
The Sweet Pea shirt looks like an African fabric design influenced by zebra. One of the comments is that it's cut too fitted for that person to wear it with pants. Since the fabric is so pliable and forgiving, I'd really size up on this one.
Is the second Sweet pea top on the side of the page with the SP zebra pattered shirt? If so, it's a lovely design of soft black paisley on a rose pink background with what looks like spatters or spongings of mauve...not bright, but more soft looking without being a pastel. I just realized that this would not be the spicy colored top. I'll look some more.

I agree, too, that both would look fantastic. The dress looks sooo comfortable and really flattering. The top is really fun and attractive. I definitely think they are worth a try!

Bumping for Angie and anyone else who wants to comment on whether or not I could pull either of these off. Particularly interested to hear whether the sheath is too bold for me, and if I'd be better advised to go with a more traditional sweet pea top.
Thanks, Khris, for another stellar batch of descriptions! You're so good at this.

The shift dress has a black background with an abstract paisley print in bright colors- red, orange, cobalt blue, pink yellow, and little white is what it looks like on my screen. At the top of the dress, it looks more like a watercolor print, and then it sort of fades into the paisley design at the bottom. The neckline has a black band with some flower embellishments on it. It has a cutaway neckline, so that the dress attaches to that band in the front and back, but over the shoulder there is only that band. It makes a teardrop shaped cut out in the front. I find these types of neckline flattering, but bra exposure is possible so you will have to try it and see. The silhouette is loose- a slight A-line sack style. It look very comfy for summer and I could see you in this.
The Sweet Pea top is an unusual style for that brand. It's a traditional button up shirt with a collar. It looks like the sleeves are a single layer, and the body is lined. The print is great- it's a black and white zebra design on a smaller scale. I could see you in this one, too.
I'm not sure which other Sweet Pea is being referred to- sorry!

I just realized today is the last day for the Nordy's half-yearly sale and that I better get in gear if I want to place an order! :)

I'd love a couple of descriptions of items from the list Angie posted, namely these two, if you don't mind.

ECI sheath: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....wvYlaAFIiQ
Sweet pea: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....en:blouse%

Sweet pea top: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....EcT5iAGDXg

She refers to another "top in spicey colours" that sounds intriguing, but unfortunately that link is broken and I don't know what she means. :)

Think either of these items look like me?

Thanks girls!
