It also came with a silver clasp type ring to use on either side to secure the strand when doubling or tripling up to make it shorter. You would also have the option of wrapping the pearls to create a two strand effect, this is achieved by simply crossing the pearls in the middle for an even effect or closer to your body for a choker plus long necklace look. Does that make sense Michelle? I've been wanting a new pearl necklace for awhile, since I'm obsessed with my short chunky strand but want some variety (sorry if I'm channeling you, Angie). Could you kindly describe Carrie's necklace and advise me whether that's the sort of thing I should get as my next pearl piece? How long is it, i.e. where does it hit on her body? Are the pearls chunky or more dainty? Some descriptions of how it was styled would be great, too. </p> <p>FYI, I intend to buy myself a layered pearl necklace as my 50 pound reward. I have four weddings to attend this summer, so I know it will be practical as well as a worthwhile treat. </p>
