Each season can be different, depending on the colors chosen, etc. Like crazyone, I have a hard time finding clothing small enough at Macy's and I'm not that small. I have Calvin Klein dresses that I love and used to have that brand jeans that fit and wore well. Several forum members have menioned INC brand.

yea same in canada, we dont have all the big box store brands as the US, however it takes time to figure which brand is for you http://salon-care.com

I am partial to the quality and styles of Donna Karan. I'm thinking I may have some Alfani things too. I no longer find things that work for me at BR and AT. But things change year by year as companies change manufacturers, etc. etc.

I think the quality is variable, but one big problem I have (and this may be relevant for you, too, having seen your pictures) is that I feel completely sized out at Macy's. Often the smallest size available is too big for me. Other friends who are similarly sized complain of the same thing. For example, recently I ordered a Tommy Hilfiger skirt at Macy's, size 2, and it was several inches too big in the waist. I'm not that small, either--but Macy's doesn't seem to have that much in the way of XS sizes.

BR and AT serve smaller sizes better than Macy's does, in my experience.

I agree with Ceit. I think you'll need to go out and look and feel how it's made. I have friends that swear by Calvin Klein jeans, but I know that those jeans just don't work for me.

In my experience, name isn't important, in that no matter who it is, they can have some amazing pieces, and some stinkers mixed in. So, you just have to try stuff and see!

I live in part of PA without nordstorm, asks, Bloomingdales or Neumann Marcus.
You got the idea.
We have macys, bonton and boscovs.
So what's your experience with designers that sell at these stores.
I know Ralph Lauren good (I don't always like colors though)
How about Kenneth Cole, dkny, guess, Calvin klein, and Alfani by macys.
How do they compare say to banana republic or Ann taylor(both I love and available).
How is their quality and longevity?
I read old thread that doesn't include any of these names. So are they bad, good???
