I finally got to a store, yesterday, and tried on about 10 different NAS/sale jeans. I bought these COH on sale and love how they fit. I like the fringey hems but they also have a hemmed version on line.

Update regarding my denim purchases. I went with some of the recommendations that Angie reported in her blog post.

http://click.linksynergy.com/d.....r%3DCooper

These fit great everywhere, the rise didn't feel too high or low and I felt they looked great from the backside but I couldn't help feeling like peter pan with the bottom edging on the pant leg. I would love to find that same pair with straight leg or ankle finished finished hem

I also tried these Kut from Kloth pair and loved them as well except for they felt too short in the rise and knew it probably would bother me.

http://click.linksynergy.com/d.....Liberating

I'm waiting on the following pairs:
http://click.linksynergy.com/d.....520Natural

http://click.linksynergy.com/d.....olor%3DIda

And I'm stalking these the AG exboyfriend jeans that Beewee suggested.

http://click.linksynergy.com/d.....%2520Shift

Thank you again for the suggestions!

I ordered the AG Ex-Boyfriend Slim Jeans. They are the first AG Jeans I’ve purchased. They are perfect! Very flattering! For reference I’m 5’4” hourglass with bigger legs. I almost always wear a 10. Oh! And the length is great!

I have found that Mavi jeans seem to work well on my curvier bottom half. I have problems with the rise being a bit too long (I am 5'2"), but since you are taller than I, you might have better luck. I have one pair of Mavi jeans (in petite) and tried on a couple pairs of their shorts and found them all to be more accommodating than the other brands I tried. I'm not sure this brand is part of NAS, though.

I tried on the Good American jeans with the stripes down the sides the other day (just grabbed them to try a top on, since I was wearing a dress), and they are very stretchy and accommodated even my big thighs. So, based only on that one cut, I do think they may work well for curvier figures.

I didn’t try any other NAS denim, but in general, I find Paige and AG denim work better for me than most.

I've been waiting for denim reviews, too. I planned to purchase a pair this year but because I'm not at home, I need to choose carefully. The forwarding costs will cancel the NAS savings if I choose multiple pairs to consider. I haven't notice any denim "stars" this year but hopefully they will emerge before the end of the sale. My body type seems very similar to yours, so I will be following this thread.

nina --did you see Angie's recommendations on denim?
https://youlookfab.com/finds/c.....ction=6097

Hi, just thought I woud solicit the forum on denim suggestions from the NAS. I know its late, possibly too late but figured I would still ask.

I saw that many people were suggesting the Good American Jeans for curvier bodies. I'm not sure though what I think of the high waisted jeans...

I'm 5' 5ish with a short torso and typically wear a size 8 or 10. I tend to wear mid rise to avoid a muffin top and straighter cut in order to not accentuate curvier thighs and not looking too stumpy if that makes sense.

Any other favorites out there that might fit my body type?

Thank you for your suggestions!

Nina

P.S. Edited to Add, I did try the wit and wisdom itty bitty boot cut denim and didn't like them. I felt like instead of elongating my leg, I looked like stumps. But that could just be me asking too much of my jeans. :-)
