In Scouts, we cut off the legs and wore these as our uniform when we were day camp counselors. I haven't worn mine probably since college in the early '70s. Wearing them scandalized my relatives -- which is probably why I've refused to let them go!!! Since they are so loose, I can still get into them, although my weight isn't that much more since those high school days; it is just distributed differently. Overalls are a hassle in the bathroom, esp. if you put anything in the front pocket.
