Thank you all! It feels great to read your comments and really encourages me to post more! Laura and Angie, I will definitely try to add a nice necklace and get myself used to seeing them on me. I do not know why but even when wearing the daintiest necklace, I feel very conscious about it.

Hum... the leather blazer got mixed reviews, which mirrors my own opinion about it. So, this afternoon, I decided to go shopping for a moto jacket. With Queenie's valuable advice about sizing in mind and the help of hubby (who has a great eye for fit) I found one that I LOVE for a great price. I promise to post pictures of outfits tomorrow!

Thanks very much again for such nice words!

Your denim outfit totally works for me! I like it tucked; it's cute on you.

The blazer, I agree with queenie about the shoulders. Although big shoulders are coming back in style, so perhaps it's a matter of getting used to the look and how you style it.

Look forward to seeing more posts from you!

great denim outfit- you paired them so well and it looks so tidy and pulled together.

the jacket does seem a bit big in the shoulders. where do the shoulder seams hit? I think it is so easy to fall into the habit of buying jackets too big because we think we have to be able to fit ourselves into them while bundled up like a snowman! I've recently realized that and am trying to be conscious of it.

Hi Lili! Welcome! I agree that the leather jacket might be an issue, but of course it's partly what you make of it. It's a bit long, maybe, especially given how hot the cropped leather jacket look is right now. You might be able to make it work, especially if you wear it open. That said, a moto jacket is a surefire winner.

I like the first oufit as well, and it might be interesting to add to it, as Angie mentioned. I bought a long (REALLY long) strand of faux pearls to add to my denim shirt and the effect is killer. But any long necklaces could be interesting.

I think you nailed the look in a perfectly androgynous way in picture #1. Well done! Personally I'd have added a girly touch of pearls but that's because I'm obsessed with pearls. No need for you to add them :0)

And welcome to the forum. Lovely that you de-lurked.

I smiled when you said I've been following for a while. It took me 7-8 months before I commented or posted anything. Now I'm almost a regular.

I like the first picture with denim shirt and pants. Definitely keep.

I agree with you on the leather jacket that you could do better, based on the picture. You have a nice shape and this jacket seems to hide it. Maybe it's the picture.

Hi lili,
Don't feel bad...I have been commenting for over a year and lurked for a long time too, and only recently starting posting pic's:)
I love the denim shirt with the denim pants!!
The boot cuts look great, but I can't see the length:(
The leather jacket looks great, You should consider keeping. To me it looks like a blazer style and that comes and goes..but it looks to fit well to me. I have a few blazer style that I hang on to:)

Well, first of all I believe I owe you apologies - I visit YLF everyday (or should I say every 3 hours?), I sport a lot of YLF inspired looks and had a YLF inspired hair makeover, I follow YLFer's blogs and think of many people here as I am shopping (as in "oh, this looks like something *...* would wear!) but I rarely comment. Therefore, I fell bad to ask for advice. I feel I should contribute more in order to fairly receive my share... I have to say that I lack the confidence to voice my opinion and I still need to take more and more in. I hope this topic will help me change my ways!
So, on to the subject: I went to a Gap card event yesterday and saw models sporting the denim on denim trend - not to mention the store and website ads, that are all about it!
I got myself a pair of dark denim boot cuts and today decided to try on the look. Here it is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/4.....438563787/

I don't know whether you can really tell the pants are denim but I believe that's the idea. I tucked the shirt because that was how the models were wearing it but I am unsure of the look on me. What is the verdict? Should I try untuck the shirt or just drop the look completely?

Then there is this leather jacket: http://www.flickr.com/photos/4.....438563787/
It is real very good quality leather, bought quite a few years ago but I think it is ill-fitting, isn't it? I cannot put my finger on what it is but something just doesn't feel right in it, which makes me consider selling it and get a pleather moto. What do you think?
Here is the jacket unbuttoned: http://www.flickr.com/photos/4.....438563787/

You will see other pictures on the set that focus at PPL and boot versus skinny but this might be subject for another post...

Thank you so much for looking!
