You've gotten great advice on tunics! I have nothing helpful to add.

However, I do have a pair of indoor shoes that I use as slippers. They are Born clog/mules. Although I wear them to keep my feet from freezing, they also help me feel dressed when I'm home and wearing casual clothes, especially when people are coming over. Since we don't ever wear outside shoes in the house, I also keep extra slippers for guests - it's a very common thing to do here.

MPJ, love all of those and think they would work pretty well. I have a sleeveless vest similar to #4 and love wearing it casually over turtlenecks or simple long sleeve knitted tops.

Kristen, I am such an idiot. I should have started digging for your posts first thing. I love your style, and you wear this look so well. Thanks - it does help to focus a bit on one or two things to tweak in my style, rather than thinking everything needs work. Phew.

I do tunics/long tops and bf cardis all the time with my skinny pants.

My philosophy on leggings/tunics is this: the thinner the fabrication of the bottom half, the longer the top half should be. So ones like skinny jeans or ponte pants can be worn with longer sweaters (not quite tunics) but true leggings need short or regular-length dresses.

I don't have any advice on fit, sorry!

Tanya - thanks! I was thinking I had to go short over long...I like the idea of bf cardis over tunics...hmmm...I think Boden might have a couple...lol...

Here are a couple long cardis (I think only one is technically bf style):

When the weather is colder, I love wearing shorter sweater dresses ( mid thigh length) as tunics over skinnies. I have a couple of cashmere ones and they are really warm, plus they can be layered over thinner knitted tops.

Another option is a really long BF cardi, tunic length too, to layer over your woven tunics.

I love you Zappos boots for at home

I currently own two pairs of Gap denim leggings/aka YLF "leans" and one pair of black ponte pants. After wearing them for a while, I have mixed feelings, and am not sure how to proceed.

Styling at Home Issue:
The dark wash pair is super soft, but bags a bit round the bum. I wear tunic tops that mostly cover, so it's not a huge issue. The lighter pair is tight around the calf...a bit disappointing. I do not like either one with ballet flats, only knee high boots. The catch (and you might think I'm silly) is that I do spend a lot of my time at home with the kids and I feel very unbalanced barefoot in these jeans - there's really no scrunch to them. How do I feel polished at home? (I know, I'm mental.) I was almost considering something like these house slippers: http://www.zappos.com/acorn-gi.....?zlfid=111 to balance out my lower half but I think I've lost all sense of what is fashionable at this point.

I own one pair of ponte knit leggings (skinny pants?) and I have mixed feelings about them as I feel they migrate south a bit during the day, requiring me to hike them up. The waist fit could have been better. Any other leans, skinny jeans or ponte pant suggestions? I like a high rise in the back, but not so much in the front.

I'm also having trouble styling for warmth now that it's colder. For example, I wear a cami & woven tunic...what do I wear over that when I'm at home? I do not have any cropped indoor jackets/sweaters. I still need to order some silk thermals, btw. Am I on the right track here?

Wow, sorry to write a novel...I'm just feeling overwhelmed now that it's getting colder and am resorting to stealing husband's fleeces to stay warm. Specific items are great, but I'd even just love to hear some flop-proof outfit suggestions for styling.
