Just showing up already makes you a winner of a mom, so looking that good on top of it is really fab!</p> <p>To my eye, which is still getting used to these proportions so might be wrong, much longer toppers as Traci suggested look deliberate, as do shorter ones. Mid-length tops look unintentional, to me, and in 3 the top hem seem to cut the body straight in half. </p> <p>1 looks really good because the ankle gap is closed, and the shoulder feature in the top creates some diagonal movement, and the black boots and top bookend each other. I think these totally work for you. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/denim-culottes-with-longer-tops#post-1740590 Mon, 17 Oct 2016 14:09:22 +0000 Elizabeth P 1740590@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I have become completely smitten with the idea of denim released hem culottes, so did a bit of online checking our a week or so ago and came across these on Shopbop, deep discount, and only ONE pair left, in the size I figured I needed.&nbsp; </p> <p>This was going to be a K/R post, but I'm pretty sure I'm keeping them.&nbsp; Unless you tell me otherwise... the tags are still on.&nbsp; The reason I had some hesitation is that they do a slight weird thing in the front at the crotch/hip area... just a bit of folding.&nbsp; However... the truth of the matter is that I am very unlikely to invest in the "crop top" trend, as cropped tops just don't look good on me.&nbsp; My shoulders are too wide, and I look like a big square blob if I don't have length in my tops (well,maybe even if I do, LOL).&nbsp; So if I can wear these with longer tops, that issue is totally moot.&nbsp; I tried to take photos, and it didn't even show up much on the pics, so not worth showing you, and perhaps it's not even much of an issue anyway.</p> <p>So.&nbsp; My question.&nbsp; Almost every pinterest photo I could find of denim culottes was worn with tees, tucked or semi tucked.&nbsp; I think this may be partially a seasonal thing... they don't seem to be around as much to purchase right now, as we head into winter.&nbsp;&nbsp; Do you think I can wear this with longer tops?&nbsp; Are the proportions JFE?</p> <p>1-2 with different boots<br />4-5 what I may wear this afternoon to watch my DD's first volleyball game, unless I'm told otherwise :)&nbsp; </p> <p> </p>
