Both seem a bit extreme on the spectrum for me. I don't necessarily feel like a core customer target for them, but the colors this year had me trying way more items than I've ever tried in the past. I agree that midi t shirt dress isn't for a hot summer. But it's something I can wear from October-May or so. I almost went with the black as a default in that dress, but a friend wisely steered me to the blue. Plus, the black would have attracted way too much cat hair in my house.</p> <p>I have surprisingly few sandals, and just the Sorels from this year. The black/tan sandals are my third pair of those, and I found them a few years back on ebay and stashed them till I needed them. They're long discontinued from Ariat, and I wish I had another pair sitting in the closet for when I have to move my current ones along. I may try looking at DSW to try on a few one of these days. I don't think I've ever purchased bottoms from them in past for that reason. This year, I did notice more .5 style options, which makes them more of a possibility. I've also thought they can run short too. The cobalt jeans are kind of a weird length, but I realized I can make them work for me with booties in winter and a tiny roll in warmer climates. And I agree that many of their items are very statemented in a way that plenty would not enjoy.</p> <p>Thanks CristelJ. It's good for me up to about 32 (90) degrees because it's a fairly heavy weight cotton. Which is nice, since so many tee shirt dresses are too thin. However, I'm now facing months of heat higher than that - temps from 32-46 (90-115) degrees or so. I probably won't wear that one again until about October. That said, I'm thinking I may return the dress that's in 7-10. I am not sure I like where the start of the ruffle hits me from the back view, which isn't something I could really photograph. I feel like the dress is similar to one I had years ago, but things that we try to recreate don't often work out as well as the original. I do like the color, and it does have a more festive vibe. It's an item I'm still mulling over.</p> <p>Debbie - I know that Chico's can be a bit much, head to toe, for an entire wardrobe. I've shopped an occasional piece here and there over the years.
