Oldest is nearly 16 and already pretty independent. And one day recently they were all out with friends on my day off. The youngest still likes to hang out with me. I get lost in all the research. Someone to help is great. Also, DH is a satisficer, not a maximiser and that helps to get to a conclusion. You head up a fire trail and make camp wherever. No campsites or only primitive ones. Yeah, you pretty much just turn up.</p> <p>If it’s car camping with my mum, who will want developed sites, that will be weeks of planning, reservations and watching the fire reports. I make her do all the work for that sort of thing, lol. </p> <p>If it’s backpacking - which I no longer do, because I want to take Lilypup, and dogs aren’t allowed on backpacking trails - I always went with someone who knew what a place was about. I'm not good at making decisions and there are a lot to make (mainly around fuel availability which has a domino effect around where to book other things).</p> <p>So can't even contemplate shopping, though autumn has arrived. I can't cope with YLF polls, or posts asking which outfit is better!&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>(Also coping with a new sporting interest by DD15 that involves very early mornings - and our house runs to late nights - a spare hour or two can end up being used for naps)</p> <p>Hope to be back in a while after this hurdle is over! </p>
