I feel for you. I've been pregnant several times in the last 15 years, and then finally lost the weight that needed losing which put me in a size I've never worn. I'm working very hard to stay here for once! Changing sizes constantly gets old.

I understand too! I'd actually like my body to time travel back 10 years before some health issues, weight gain, grey hair, etc. (but still keep my son!)... and THEN stop changing!

I completely relate to this issue. In the last 10 years, I've gone from being a size 22, working really hard and going down to a size 6 where I stayed for about 6 years and in the last two years going back up to a size 10/12 due to health issues. And you are so right - it is frustrating going back and forth. And expensive constantly having to re-buy clothes. And I used that issue to not buy clothes I love. I bought cheap and often ill fitting clothes because I was never sure if that was the size I was going to stay. As a result, I didn't feel good in my clothes and it affected my self esteem. So thanks to YLF I am learning to dress the body I have and to love whatever shape I happen to be at the time. I've decided to purchase less items but of higher quality so that overall I don't spend a fortune and if my body changes again, I will purchase new well-fitting clothes. So love your closet, hope for the best, and embrace whatever comes along!

I think one of my biggest wardrobe conundrums is not that fashion changes, it's that my body keeps changing. In the span of 20 years, I was a little bit round, then I was sick and really, really skinny, then I started working out, then I was pregnant, then I was nursing, then I was a MOTG walking all over NYC and travelling for work, then I moved climates to Texas and sat on my butt for three years and got squishy, then I started working out again and got muscley. (Firmness, yay. Bigger thighs and shoulders... whimper.)

Every one of these stages was a real change physically and meant I needed new clothes. And I love clothes, so any excuse, right? But now, I'm getting to the stage where I love my curated closet and want it to pretty much stay where it is. Is it too much to wish I could hit a happy plateau and STAY THERE?
