Lisa p great suggestion. I also find these sleeves a little tricky. I kind of miss normal sleeves.....

I have an Ann Taylor bracelet sleeved jacket (@ 5 years old) that I wear with my bell sleeved tops. On really cold days I just wrap them and slide on my winter coat. Easy Peasy.

What Colette said. And I appreciate Angie’s tips. These are just not practical for me so I did not go into this trend much. I don’t have use for the types of coats needed for them in winter. I might do a summer wear- alone top if I really liked it.

I am looking forward to Angie’s post. Flouncy cuffs showcase hands too much for me to wear them, but they look great on my sister who has beautiful hands,

Colette took the words right out of my mouth. A couple of ruana cut wraps are perfect, as is a cape or bracelet sleeved coat.

I avoid tops like that in seasons I need a coat. I do have some flouncy and bell sleeved tops but only for warm spring and summer days. And I do have a ruana just in case because our weather is really becoming more and more unpredictable.

I’m looking forward to Angie’s post. I have avoided purchasing many tops with flounced sleeves because of this, and also because of the annoyance of the flounce getting wet when I wash my hands. I have tried my best, but it seems no matter what I end up with a ruffle dangling into sink. Yuck!

They are very annoying. I wear a jacket or coat over my long sleeved tops with flounce. I was thinking that 3/4 length would be easier to manage for daily activities but putting a jacket or coat over them seems impossible.
I have a tartan BR jacket with short flounce on the sleeves that works very well over my tops and cardis with flounced sleeves.
I will be waiting to read Angie’s post for more info on this.

I am writing a post on that NOW.

Go without a topper

Wear a scarf for warmth

Wear a bell shaped topper

Wrap or cape

Need exuberant sleeves in SOFT slippery fabric so that they scrunch under a topper but hold their shape when the topper is removed.

Wear a blouson sleeve with a cuff instead of a flounced sleeve that flares out.

Has anyone figured out how to wear a jacket over tops with big flouncy cuffs without having to fuss too much? I have and really like the black sweater shown in finds but the cuffs have a bit of thickness to them and I have to manually fold them up and hold them in place before I can put on a jacket or coat. It's quite fussy and annoying.

I'm thinking about the blue and yellow sweaters shown below but dealing with these flouncy cuffs is such a pain.

I suppose maybe you could use elastic bands like you do with loose pant legs when riding a bicycle, or wear under a sleeveless vest (denim or otherwise), or only wear this type of top in warmer temps where a topper is not needed.

Would love to hear any suggestions...
