About 6 months ago, though, I tried buying some better clothes and paying attention to what I look like, and I've discovered how incredibly fun it can be! I never thought I would like shopping or clothes or anything like that, but I've been having a great time witht it.</p> <p>I can't tell you how much all of you at ylf have helped me so far, even just as a lurker! I've bought my first pair of premium denim, started wearing dresses regularly, and discovered the wonder that is the Rack... all thanks to you.</p> <p>I'm guessing my body type is an apple with inverted triangle tendencies on the basis of elimination -- I'm definitely not a pear (I wear a size or two larger on top than on bottom), not an hourglass (a recent weight loss has made my waist finally visible, but it's not all that defined) and not a rectangle (I think my apple belly rules that out?). Definitely short (5' 3''), short-waisted, and large busted. I'll post a picture soon though for opinions. </p> <p>I've been gearing up to post for a while now, but my final impetus came today at (where else) the Rack, where I tried on my first-ever pair of skinny jeans! I asked my boyfriend's opinion, and he was tongue-tied ("they look... nice!"), and I realized it wasn't fair to him or fun for me to rely on him to give so much fashion advice, and it wasn't necessary at all when I could just post here, with people who were knowledgeable and happy to help out.</p> <p>I don't have time to figure out how to post pictures today, but I'll get on it hopefully tomorrow night. This forum is a truly amazing place, and I'm really excited to be a part of it. </p>
