Is there another agonizing waiting period? Teah had two hours of assessment, her gross and fine motor skills appear to be average (a little behind on her fine motor skills). Her social, communication and sensory needs are to be addressed with therapies starting in both speech and occupation. They do believe Teah may be on the spectrum for Autism and she will be referred to a specialist team for further investigation. This is a very scary diagnosis, initially, for parents. My son has Asperger's which is on the autism spectrum.
