It's a good interpretation, however I do find the boots too heavy here (I do understand it's cooler where you are). Casual maxis are popular here in the warmer seasons so I find the balance of skin showing on the top and bottom half of the body works best against so much coverage. I agree the boots are perhaps a bit heavy, but then again, they are seasonally appropriate. There is a sophistication in the colour combination and the overall proportion. You could create a very similar look with wide leg trousers instead. Only because of the shoes... I couldn't figure out what to wear here... Also, my "maxi skirt" is a dress that can be worn both ways and I think it could have been a little longer. It has a top band that fits under my chest in the dress version and I had to be careful that that line fit under my top, as when it went lower it created a horizontal line and didn't work for my hips....</p> <p>I originally intended to wear my Navy maxi, which was longer and feel it might have been better....</p> <p>Of all 5 looks this is the only one I wouldn't want to recreate unless I can resolve the shoe issue... </p> <p>Any shoe recommendations on how to improve this? Would it have been better to scrap the maxi look and hike it back up to a midi dress with black boots?</p> <p>Also would love if anyone wanted to look at my blog and leave comments about which outfit of the week they liked best.... </p>
