Kind of hilarious for people who own a cattle ranch. We are actually not big red meat eaters, but for a special occasion, a steak can be so good. These were outstanding — gotta say hubs did an excellent job on the grill. :-)</p> <p>I love that sweater. Even though it only gets a few wears a year, it’s timeless for my style, and very well made (absolutely zero pilling), so it earns a continued place in my closet. </p> <p>I’m making an effort to wear my “good shoes” when I need to be out and about so they get some use, and so my feet don’t get too lulled into gear shoes and slippers. These have a bit of a heel on them so they’re not as comfortable as they were a couple of years ago, but they’re cool enough I don’t want to give them up. They’ll just be saved for days when I’m not walking four miles in them. Jewel tones are my next most common color choice. </p> <p>Today I wore AG Harper straight jeans and an old but still beloved sweater — by Aiko from maybe 8 years ago. The sleeves are accented with white leather panels and I’ve always loved that, even though it makes me treat this sweater more delicately than I otherwise would. </p> <p>I added the McQueen scarf, and dark burgundy patent boots. I had to go out to the store for my husband’s birthday cakes (yes, two!) and because it was rainy and cold I wore the new seafoam puffer.</p> <p>My hair grow out is starting to look really rough again. I need to learn how to cut my own hair with layers. And clearly I’ve not bothered with makeup. LOL</p> <p>Bonus pics from his birthday dinner. Steaks on the grill, grilled asparagus, and roasted baby potatoes. Two flavors of cake! No wonder I’ve gained weight. I’ll get a grip now that the holidays are officially over. </p> <p>Plus a funny that seemed way too true! </p>
