Your scarf-as-skirt trick is brilliant and reminds me of a favorite skirt I had in my late teens, when wool plaid skirts trended hard. I had a couple, and one was a midi length A line in shades of brown and rust — I wore it with a chocolate brown velvet blazer and tan turtleneck (yeah, not really my best color), and tan platform chunky sandals (kinda like Candies but with ankle straps so more secure — I couldn’t do Candies, they would just fly off my feet!). I loved that outfit! I didn’t expect that I’m learning as I go with the scarf thing. This time I just pinned the scarf straight to the waistband of my underskirt (the skirt is strong there, so it doesn’t hurt it). It was very secure. It came just past my knee at the back. The asymmetrical part is only at the front side, where the 2 scarf ends join.
