I could have gone with a plain black top, but I like a little more visual interest, i.e. pattern mixing. I went with a pin dot grey button-down shirt that looks like a solid neutral from a distance. The sleeveless black merino top is a perfect layering piece and gives a 70s retro schoolgirl vibe. </p>
