Dansko Pros really work for me as well as a few other Dansko styles while other styles are simply dreadful. Interestingly enough, the Sanitas I've tried don't work for my feet. And yes, I've twisted an ankle in my Danskos and am wondering if that's why I have a chronic but intermittent ankle pain.

so yes, I have not actually fallen in my danskos, but nearly... I want to wear them every day, the older I get the more important comfort becomes. I think my feet have become fussier. I did buy a year ago - inspired by Alaskagirl - a more refined pair of Danskos (do not recall the name, but they are studded and have a tighter back) which I adore. I wear them all the time with all kinds of different ensembles/outfits. I've been searching for a new pair, but am not finding the offerings to my taste, though I do like one brown lacy suede one with a slightly pointier toe (which I just went on line to look for the name and not on the Dansko site, so i should high tail it to my local store and buy them while the buying's good). I am coveting a discontinued pair, the sally, in dark brown, ankle strap, so cute, want want want!

I have two pairs of Dansko sandals. They are good for standing or walking on level surfaces (e.g. in a building) but I don't love them for hills (chafing). My friend broke her ankle 'falling off' Dansko clogs (doesn't make them dangerous for everyone, but she is not the only one to say that the clogs are comfy but make ankle twisting more likely).

Pamie, if you haven't discovered barkingdogshoes.com, there are a lot of comfort-shoe recommendations there.

I bought my first pair of Danskos when I was 8 months pregnant. Great shoe for me at the time!

Dansko Professional is my favorite shoe ever for 12-hour shifts on my feet. Not the coolest looking shoe, but definitely the most comfortable. I've not tried other Dansko styles.

Now that I wear Danskos, other shoes feel funny in comparison. Danskos are so comfortable! I guess it depends on your particular foot. I'm prone to overpronate, I think; at least, that's what the podiatrist said. Whatever. I just know Danskos feel great on my feet and I can walk in them all day without any type of discomfort.

I discovered this site after looking for comments about Dansko clogs.
I have enjoyed wearing Dansko clogs for some time but had to quit due to falling.
Not all shoes are created equal, nore all feet, ankles etc.
Having worn clogs off and on since I was a girl the fit is fabulous.
But I began having falls, unexplained by uneven ground or obstacles.
It appeared my right ankle was turning in just enough to cause the heel to roll.
After changing to another shoe the falls ceased.
Now I have to be very careful when I wear Danskos.
I noticed some people have pain issues with Danskos. Again my arches feel great, but I have worn other types of shoes and have to massage my arches extensively to deal with cramping.
Foot care before we put a shoe on could really make the difference.
