I walked around them in the house a bit more and the top of my left foot started hurting from lifting the weight of the shoes every time I stepped. It seemed like there was one spot that was doing all of the work, and my foot didn't like that. Back they go. I was able to find another pair of shoes I've been hunting in my size for 1/3 of the original price on Amazon, so hopefully they'll be a better match. But not the sandal to end all sandals, which is what I usually go for (I get one pair of sandals and wear them all summer long, toss them at the end of the summer after almost 150 wears, and repeat the following summer). My main problem is that my heel isn't as attached to the shoe as I would like (see picture 3), which I don't think will work well with all the walking I do over uneven terrain when I'm going to and from campus. Otherwise, they are comfy, especially for a 2.5" heel, and look super versatile. They're close, but they just can't be my one and only. </p>
