The red is spectacular, but I agree - the black and white was more interesting in the catalog photo. I think it's the broad, square shoulders of the model that set off the slit sleeves and help the two tones to show better from the front as well as the side. It is a nicely made dress but it does not excite me as much as the red one. In addition it is straighter in the skirt and therefore does not provide as much movement freedom as the red one even though the high slit helps. In summary I liked it in the picture much more than I liked it on me - so back it goes. The red dress will wait until I am back for the final decision but I am inclined to keep - if my Mom can shorten it in the back without loosing the style (I need it shorter than the floor length for safety while dancing)</p> <p>However there is another item which came today and which I am inclined to keep - Kensie fringe faux leather skirt. It is a lot of fun and I think it is perfect for dancing - cha cha anyone? :-)<br />Unfortunately size L (as recommended by their website for me) is too big so I have ordered M. The only issue that it has a bit of smell so I would need to see if it will air out or not but I really like the style for dancing.</p> <p>Ok, just wanted to share more and now I am off to pack - wish me luck<br />&nbsp;:-)</p>
