This is great, <b>Gryffin,</b> thank you. I have a different Merrell boot for walking on ice and I like it quite a lot as well. It looks much better in person than in the photos -- it's actually kind of cute in a weird way -- and it does have good grip power on ice, which is essential for my purpose.&nbsp;</p> <p></p> <p>But your options look <b>way</b> more stylish and fun. Glad you found what you were looking for despite the dodgy first impression. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/cute-rate-practical-booties#post-1894140 Mon, 26 Feb 2018 18:08:36 +0000 Anonymous 1894140@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I like the pull-on style! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/cute-rate-practical-booties#post-1894116 Mon, 26 Feb 2018 16:03:57 +0000 gryffin 1894116@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I apologize, I can't remember who was looking for cute waterproof practical&nbsp;comfortable boots/booties that were stylish.&nbsp; This is a review of the Merrell Chateau Mid lace Waterproof bootie.&nbsp; First, disclaimer, I love black hiking boots.&nbsp; Because my wardrobe is formal and uber ladylike, I like to balance it with tough footwear.&nbsp; Also I have a neuroma so I require comfortable, supportive shoes/boots that can accommodate a 3/4 orthotic.&nbsp; I have been on the hunt for a practical, waterproof bootie that was a little dressier and flattering than my beloved keen glarus boots.&nbsp; Enter the Merrell Chateau (which comes in multiple styles which I have attached but have not tried).&nbsp; My first impression when opening the box was wow, these are way too small and delicate.&nbsp; They look tiny, with a nice heel but tough tread.&nbsp; But onward, I placed my orthotic and my foot slipped right in and wow, so flattering.&nbsp; Perfect size.&nbsp; I am usually a 7, sometimes a 7.5 and a size 7 fits perfectly with plenty of room for my orthotic and plenty of wiggle room in the toes.&nbsp; Because of the slight hiking platform the functional heel is just over an 1"&nbsp; platform is listed as 0.5" and heel 1.9"&nbsp; I can't usually wear heels and they are totally comfortable.&nbsp; Back of boot is notched to accommodate Achilles tendon.&nbsp; Makes your feet look tiny and elegant, nice heel, light, comfortable out of the box.&nbsp; I would wear these all year long with no problem.&nbsp; In case anyone still needs a practical but slightly more stylish hiking type boot.&nbsp; Highly recommended.&nbsp; </p>
