I was very picky as the shoes had to be "Not too" many things: not too casual, not too dressy, not too high but not flat either, not frumpy, reasonably comfy etc. - you get the idea.<br /></div>I am very happy to report that I have found such a rare beast.&nbsp; It was at Ann Taylor, out of all places - I do not think that I have ever purchased shoes from AT before. They have a small, very stable block heel, an ankle strap and rounded toes. They are padded and pretty comfy, the suede is quite soft. The vamp is very low and the front part is quite shallow, which I know is a deal breaker for some people, but works for me. You can see them in the photo worn with my Express kick crop flares, and I think that they work pretty well together. </p>
