I have quite a few of them and wear them often, many of them are about 5 years old (none are short sleeve). Since reading YLF, I have started to belt them. I am wondering if newer cardigans are made or cut differently because they are being belted? </p> <p>When I have mine belted, the back doesn't look quite right...it sort of poofs a little above the belt. I am also on the hunt for cardis - I guess I am too hard on them and they need frequent replacing, especially the black and white which I wear the most. </p> <p>I am probably going to order from GAP and ON since they offer petites and looked like they had some cute ones, reasonably priced, when I checked last week. (With my luck they'll be sold out by now... sigh).</p> <p>My biggest challenge is finding a white cardigan that isn't so thin everything shows through it. Otherwise, my preference is for V-neck or scoop neck, with short or elbow-sleeves. The better (quality) one is from J Crew, and the other one is from BP, which is a department at Nordstrom's. The BP one was much cheaper (maybe $35), but the quality of the J Crew one is much nicer (at $59 if I recall correctly). Both were bought last year.
