I bought a pair of Naot sandals last summer that may work for you. They have a velcro fastening on both the strap on the toes and the ankle strap allowing you to adjust the shoe fit perfectly and change it as the day progresses if your feet swell.</p> <p>I can't seem to find the name and the box is long gone but here is a pic. My shoemaker retired and I have not done it since.</p> <p>I got the recommendation for mine from the most fabulous dresser I have ever met with impeccable taste and the budget to allow her to go high end. She had used this man and so had a lot of her friends as well as a doctor of mine.</p> <p>Be sure to read all reviews of the service. Simple shoes are definitely easier to be happy with but make sure that any fashion details are well defined and pay particular notice to seaming. I have very wide toes and narrow heels, so sling-backs are the best fit, and even then my toes hurt after a few hours. I wear sneakers (with orthotics) most of the time just so I'm not limping with pain.</p> <p>Has anyone here tried custom or semi-custom shoes? I'm curious to know where you went and what was the result--- happy feet? TIA!! </p>
