A good tailor can easily take it down a size. I once came across a beautiful Desigual coat (hard to find in Vancouver!) and the smallest size they carried was still at least a size too big. I bought it anyway, took it to the tailor, and she made the shoulders smaller. It's always possible that your colleague was transferring her own fear of wearing something daring onto her advice to you.</p> <p>Coats are sometimes meant to be on the big side and can still work out. The print is divine and it is lined with grey leopard fake fur and is the most soft &amp; strokable material.</p> <p>Unfortunately the down side is that I look like it is about 2 sizes too big for me (it is marked as a 38 which is a UK size 12 (and I was hoping it ran small because I am about a UK size 10). </p> <p>I also got a second opinion from a colleague at work and she persuaded me it would be tricky to make it work.</p> <p>My wish was not to be granted. (sobs quietly).</p> <p>There are no other coats of this type available on the web - as far as I can see. </p> <p>Oh well, back to the drawing board for me...... </p>
