Thanks-that helps.

DH preferred the tied ones, but oddly liked Una's oil slick shoes even better! Not available in my size. Tied shoes often fit me better, so if I'm not locking myself out, I might try them. I already have a couple pair of slip-ons so this could be a good change. Just wanted to understand if I was boxing myself in stylistically with that choice.

I think the fun detailing on the slipons also makes them read more casual - the simplicity of the laceups gives them a slightly more serious tone. Still, both fall within the casual range to me. I really love the color of the leather in both. Beautiful.

The second pair are lower and have laces, so I'd tend to think of them as a little dressier. The higher slip on pair might look more purposeful with dresses and skirts... I'd call both a little RATE and casual, but the second pair less so.

I am having a hard time deciding between these two Pikolinos booties. Which reads more casual? Is there one you would never wear with a skirt, or trousers, or what? If you could put descriptors on them, like refined, RATE, edgy, how would you separate them? I don't intuitively understand which is more versa tile or when I would reach for one over the other to go with an outfit. Help! Either pair I would get in the olive.

Can't find the second one anywhere but at Pikolinos, linked. Note that Pikolinos has the first pair on sale, while Nordstrom is still at full price. But I don't need both. I probably don't need either, but want some.
