Thanks so much for those ideas. I'll be checking them out this week. Someone suggested "Lugg" bags, but I'm not sure about the look.

I second the Danier bags. That's what I carry mostly right now, a small cross body bag from Danier. You can often get great deals, and the quality is very good.

Wow, you have a busy life with 6 little ones!
Have you looked at Roots bags? I have one of their satchels that i wear crossbody, and the leather is great quality, plus their bags are made in Canada.
Also, check out Danier - good quality bags, often on sale.

I'd like to thank you all for your posts! I read often, though don't post because I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to cameras! I've had a lot of fun finding a new puffer coat perfect for the hockey rink and booties, which surprisingly, don't make my size 12 feet look bigger, but rather stylish!

My dilemma is that I need a new cross-body-bag. I have other purses, but I keep going back to wearing a cross-body diaper bag which is large enough to hold all the "stuff" I need to carry around. As a mom to six young children, this can be a lot of stuff (though everyone is out of diapers! Whew!) I am also tall, hence the big feet. At 6'1" I need a long strap, or the bag will look ridiculous over my puffer coat.

I prefer simply tailored bags, though I'm willing to try moving out of my comfort zone a little bit. The problem is that I can't afford to make a mistake, so I feel I have to play it safe. I also live in Canada.

Does anyone have any great suggestions?

Thanks so much for your help!
