I'd toss that first pair or shorten and streamline them. It isn't just the length, it's also the width below the knee. You might roll up the shorter ones to hit on the knee and see what you think of that length too. It would seem that when the leg looks longer, the thighs would naturally look slimmer. To me a narrow cut is key. They look sleeker. My jacket preference is the Body by Victoria jacket. I like the shoulder detail and lately I'm just not loving mandarin colors like Liz Claiborne one.
