I have begun to wear scrunched socks and let them show between rolled jeans and booties or oxfords. For some reason I like the socks lighter than either the pants or the booties, but not high contrast, like charcoal socks with blue jeans and black booties. I also only like a little sock to show.

I don't like wearing nylon hose at all, even knee-highs, so this would give me a way possibly to wear some of my ankle-length pants. Must experiment! I'm not sure how much I can get away with, though, since I am short and can easily look stumpy if my leg line is broken up too much. Maybe it would help to make the sock the same color as the bootie...

I was missing cropping my jeans so am mistly doing an Angie with nude kneehighs or even nude stockings. I don't like the look of visable socks.
ETA: you can wear layers of knee-highs for added warmth.

I'm with Angie on this one. I think nude knee-highs would look dressier. It all depends on the look you're going for, though.

I wear cropped jeans daily here in Seattle - and with nude knee-highs. It's currently 4 degrees Celcius. It looks dressier and more polished than the socks. Fun look though! It's just not my thing. Great on others.

Found these ideas for wearing cropped jeans in winter. I have 2 pairs that I love, but do not think I will be wearing them until I can wear them with sandals or sneakers without socks. Or maybe I will wear them tucked into my tall boots as one pair is so soft and feels good on.
