Hi from Melbourne!
I like the length of the pant with the longer shirt.
I am wearing a denim jacket today that I found at a local 'thrift' shop, so don't give up on finding one in Aus. I also found a great one for the warmer weather in 'Valley Girl' recently when I was with my teenaged daughter- not very expensive either- you just never know where you might find something you are looking for unexpectedly!
If I see some non-denim bermudas in my travels I will let you know.

Thank you so much ladies.

Thanks Deborah, I agree, I need to get some better photos. I will get on to that. I really want to be in a comfortable wardrobe place this summer! I think I might hem them just a little shorter.

Thanks for the encouragement and suggestion Jayne.I am not sure about white jeans. My hips are quite wide and I am not sure about dressing them in light colours. It does look fresh on other people though.....It is something to experiment with!

From the photos it is a bit tricky to see the length but I think they may work just a bit shorter. Can your roll them up and get some more photos and see what you think? I am no expert on cropped lengths tho:) so take my opinion as you wish :). Your hubby's shirt is really nice, I encourage you to "borrow" it more often. Semi tuck could definitely work if adding a belt. I like your ideas for these. It's nice to "see" you.

My Katie's purchases arrived.

The cropped denim jacket had armholes that were too big, so I have returned that already. It seems quite a task to find a fitted, cropped denim jacket in shops in Australia.

These are my (elastic waist!) cropped denim pants.

There could be so many things that could go wrong with pants like these!! Haha.

But...

They are really comfortable and I think the length is okay. It is a very dark denim and that is how I usually like my denim. It doesn't have great detailing though, as in, the back pockets are pretty ordinary and the front detailing is all fake - for a slim, flat front!

I was thinking half tucking wouldn't really be an option in pants like these, but on second thoughts, I could just add belt carriers to the waist band myself, add a belt and then do a half or semi tuck on the front. I have a green belt with a bronze buckle that might look good with this shirt....

I have worn the crops here with my husband's Desigual shirt (I am thinking I may *borrow* this more regularly), a wooden bangle, a cross body bag and my comfortable wedge espadrilles.

I imagine this would be an fast, fallback outfit for when I am planning on traipsing around Saturday morning markets in the sun and eating juicy mangoes while sitting on the grass.

What do you think of the length? They also come in capri length, which finishes right below the knee. I felt more drawn to this slightly longer length though. Also, I would like some non-denim bermuda length shorts with more tailored details for a different kind of casual summer look.

I am sorry about the poor photos. My wardrobe mirror is very close to my bed, so I find getting my whole body into the shot to be a bit of a trial. I still need to find a full length mirror that will fit in my tiny flat unobtrusively!

Do you creative ladies have any other styling suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
