With a cami layered underneath, it is a top for spring (but never summer) weather. But it's also good in summer over a tee or a woven top as a light sweater to ward against blasting AC. In other words, it's heavier than a t-shirt (or, at least, my old one is -- not sure if the new version is the same), yet I wouldn't exactly call it a sweater for early spring. Sometimes I layer a sweater or jacket over it in earlier spring. It's quite large fitting, on me, and fluid; I can semi tuck it even though it is heavier weight than a tee, unlike some similar items.
