I'm also on Team Loose Cami. I have a lot of ancient v-neck cotton camis from Old Navy but the new version is heavier, with stretch, and meant to be more fitted. One thing I've considered is this Fine Lines top
http://www.amazon.com/lines-Co.....00910MPFS/
but it's expensive and possibly too fitted. Eagerly following the suggestions here.

I hear you ladies. My short and curvy clients - pear shaped too - love the Yummie Tummy for that reason. No riding up. But they ARE body-con and not 100% cotton.

Okay this is kind of a crazy solution, but I bought a 99% cotton maternity cami from Ross. It's very soft and stretchy, and a bit more bodycon looking than these examples (but not tight anywhere) and it's LONG. So it worked well under long tops to prevent grinning, and didn't inch up.

I was getting tired of tucking in the extra fabric with jeans though, so I figured out the exact length I wanted for most tops and cut off the bottom. I'm tempted to buy another long one for those few over-sized tunics it really helped.

I'm the same. Body-con camis roll up my waist and make me crazy. I just ordered the Angie Pick Shimera and Tummie NAS ones sized up to XL In the hopes they'll work for me.

Those JCrew ones look great for under my flowy silk blouses. I'll be stalking them for a sale code.

Uniqlo AIRism microfiber camisoles are really comfortable for summer wear. While not cotton/silk, they are super silky and help keep you cool.

Here's a washable silk one from j crew. I think it's woven though, not silk jersey. Being j crew it might be too straight cut for us.

Diana, those look promising. I'll try them when I get a chance. BR used to have tanks that were cut on the bias, so they were close fitting sans cling but I haven't seen them in a while. My other thought was to check out he gear companies for washable silk styles.

Ditto what Elpgal just said. Even sized way up, the tight ones still roll up my hips. It's just the way I'm shaped. Plus, I prefer the feeling of fabric without a lot of spandex.

Angie, the ones I wear are very sheer and lightweight so they mold to my contours without any excess fabric billowing around. I am short-waisted with hips and boobs all within a few inches so the more fitted tanks and camis create unsightly rolls and bulk.

I am always on the lookout for these. Like you, I prefer a featherweight, looser fit.

I haven't tried them yet but I saw several on Anthro's site that look promising.

Modal, not cotton, but this is the shape/weight I like:
http://www.anthropologie.com/a.....7232.jsp#/

A basic cotton tank, not sure if it would be too thick:
http://www.anthropologie.com/a.....9483.jsp#/

This one is Tencel:
http://www.anthropologie.com/a.....olor=010#/

Wider straps, but is rayon/spandex:
http://www.anthropologie.com/a.....1249.jsp#/

Here's a silk one, but it's DCO:
http://www.anthropologie.com/a....._RESULTS#/

I wear a cami each day too. It doesn't matter how hot it is - so high five. These were recommended in the post, Elpgal:

http://www.jockey.com/catalog/.....sible-tank

It was a mind blow for me to hear that some prefer a non-fitted cami on that post. WOW. Our needs can be so different. I haven't come across that need with clients either.

I am the exact opposite. My camisoles and tanks (worn as undies) must be body-con so that I feel cozy, comfy and polished. I've worn a few that weren't tight enough and felt off all day. I am always learning. Thanks for opening my mind. Hope these work out.

I am one of those who wear a tank under my clothes everyday. I have a dozen from JJill that are made of featherweight cotton but it is time to retire them and I can't find good substitutes. These are a wardrobe workhorse for me, so don't mind spending more on them.
