Each year I buy one or two special pieces that I LOVE - this jacket was one of those purchases. It has meant that over time, I have built up quite a nice collection of different pieces. I just have to make sure that the 'special' piece is not always a topper as it can make editing a challenge.</p> <p><b>Dianna</b> - thank you - I love this dress too. It is perfect for my climate and lifestyle, I can see it being a workhorse over my long and hot summer.</p> <p><b>JAileen</b> - so glad that everyone is loving the jacket. I have so many great memories wearing this piece, I think it may be one that stays with me for another 14 years.</p> <p><b>Suntiger</b> - I will take a photo and post the umbrella - also purchased in Japan, it is very cute and great to co-ordinate with my summer outfits.</p> <p><b>Opaline</b> - thank you - that is such a lovely compliment. I do love to wear fun clothing, but always hope that I don't veer into dressing like a youngster. I like looking youthful, but not like I am trying to be young (if you know what I mean).</p> <p><b>Brooklyn</b> - YES! Flares are going to be my next jeans purchase. I am on the lookout for some. I had some in the early 2000's and loved them, so I know that if I find the right pair, they will be workhorses. I love this jacket, which I have now owned for 14 years...it is the oldest thing in my wardrobe and did survive my recent edit. However, if you think it is too dated, I can let it go. I usually don't wear warm colours, but I always feel fab in this light rust jacket.</p> <p>- 50's - I bought this dress on a recent holiday in Japan and loved the print which is inspired by 1940's / 50's pin up girls in bikinis, very much like Varga grils. This dress has a full skirt, and is fun to wear. I wore this with my white boots, which was definitely a more typical look for me.</p> <p>Now I have to see what the current week's challenges are!</p> <p>Any suggestions on how to wear these items and change things up are always much appreciated. </p>
