LOL In concept, it’s a really perfect dress for me. Brooklyn, if I were going to go through all that, I’d probably just have a dressmaker make one for me to my specs. No long zipper either! I don’t see my current tailor being up to the job. She’s great for smaller alterations. The top is a bit problematic anyway — it would need to be shortened at the shoulders, and I don’t think there’s a way to do that with this particular cut — that back and the boatneck already comes up high on me. </p> <p>Angie, that collared dress is lovely for you! Oh well, I guess I’m out shipping costs for return! </p> <p>It’s close but not right for me. Surprisingly, I love the color on me — it is more Kelly green IRL than the pics, but it works. The fabric is a substantial jersey with a lot of stretch, which I was not expecting. </p> <p>I love love love the style, but (sob) it’s not cut right for my body. Way too much fabric in the waist/middle — this is a long torso person dress! In these pics I have the fabric gathered up a bit at the waist and it’s still too roomy in the torso — it bunches up my shoulders if I move around at all. An alteration would be hard because of the boatneck and zip back. And then there are the lines at my chest which would seem to indicate it’s pulling even though it does not feel tight at all and in fact is roomy in the back. And the back zipper ends right at a point on my backside that creates a little point, not good! </p> <p>COS seems to cut for a longer, straighter body than mine — this is true of SO MANY designers and why I have trouble with dresses. Otherwise this is a really cool dress and I hope it works for someone else! </p> <p>Sigh. Next!</p> <p>Woody says hi. </p>
